EFFECTS OF ADDITIN OF TAURINE AND MANGANESE IN EXTENDER ON POST THAW SEMEN QUALITY OF SAHIWAL BULLS

Effect of two antioxidants (Taurine and Manganese) in extender on different spermparameters (sperm motility, live sperm percentage, membrane acrosome integrity) Sahiwal bullswas evaluated. Semen was collected twice a week for 8 weeks from six adult, regular donor andclinically healthy bulls. A total 96 ejaculates were pooled after initialevaluation. The semen samples diluted at with tris-citric acid,fructose, egg yolk andglycerol either containing level taurine (20.0, 40.0 60.0 mM), manganese(100.0, 150.0 200.0 µM), or combinations manganese (20.0 mM + 100.0 µM, 40.0mM µM 60 200 µM) temperature 37oCand without as control.Semen loaded 0.5 mL French straws cooled to 4°C.
